Benson Boone, Black Crowes & Fever Fever: The 317's Loaded July Weekend

Arena pop, southern rock under the stars, WNBA hoops, and yacht rock on the prairie — Naptown is anything but sleepy this weekend.

Benson Boone, Black Crowes & Fever Fever: The 317's Loaded July Weekend

The 317 is running a full-court press this weekend. Gainbridge Fieldhouse pulls double duty with Fever basketball and a backflipping pop superstar, Ruoff Music Center cranks up three hours of southern rock, the ISO sails into yacht rock territory on the Conner Prairie lawn, and Fountain Square’s coolest open-air stage hosts the indie pick of the summer. From downtown to Noblesville, here’s how Circle City moves July 17–19.

🎤 Benson Boone: Wanted Man Tour

Sunday, Jul 19 @ 8:00 PM

The backflipping pop phenom behind “Beautiful Things” brings his 34-date Wanted Man Tour to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for one of the biggest arena shows of Indy’s summer. Boone kicked off the run July 7 in Pittsburgh and hits Circle City between Cincinnati and Milwaukee stops, with his soaring vocals and famously acrobatic stage show in tow. Gainbridge is throwing a free Party on the Plaza at Morris Bicentennial Plaza starting at 3 PM, so you can make a whole day of it downtown. Tickets started at $74 and have been moving fast since the April on-sale — don’t sleep on this one. All ages.

The Move: Hotboys Indianapolis at 1004 Virginia Avenue in Fountain Square is a quick 5-minute ride from Gainbridge — hit the Party on the Plaza at 3, then swing down Virginia Ave for a pre-show feast before doors.

🏀 Indiana Fever vs. Seattle Storm

Friday, Jul 17 @ 7:30 PM

The hottest ticket in Indiana sports right now isn’t the Pacers — it’s the Fever, and they’re tipping off against the Seattle Storm under the Friday night lights at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Fever games have turned downtown Indy into a WNBA capital, with the arena rocking like a playoff atmosphere every home date. Tickets start around $25, making this one of the best value nights out in the city. And if you can’t get enough, the Fever run it back Saturday night against the New York Liberty at 8 PM with a Beer Garden opening at 4:30. All ages.

The Move: Gainbridge sits just up the street from Fountain Square — grab dinner at Hotboys Indianapolis, 1004 Virginia Avenue, before tip-off and roll into the arena fueled up for four quarters.

🎸 Southern Hospitality Tour: The Black Crowes & Whiskey Myers

Friday, Jul 17 @ 6:30 PM

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees The Black Crowes co-headline with Texas red-dirt heavyweights Whiskey Myers at Ruoff Music Center, the crown jewel of Hoosier amphitheaters. The Southern Hospitality Tour spans 40-plus cities, and this Noblesville stop lands on a prime summer Friday with rising country-rockers Southall opening the night at 6:30. Expect “Hard to Handle,” “She Talks to Angels,” and three hours of swampy, blues-soaked rock under the open Indiana sky. Lawn tickets make this an easy call for a crew night out on the north side. All ages.

The Move: Ruoff is a straight shot from Hotboys North Indy at 4335 W 106th St in Carmel — load up on the way to Noblesville and beat the amphitheater concession lines.

⛵ Kroger Symphony on the Prairie: Summer Breeze — Yacht Rock Classics

Saturday, Jul 18 @ 8:00 PM (gates open 6:00 PM)

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s beloved summer series delivers a night of smooth sailing with Yacht Rock Classics at the Conner Prairie Amphitheatre — think Hall & Oates, Toto, Christopher Cross, The Doobie Brothers, Jimmy Buffett, and Steely Dan with full orchestral backing. Gates open at 6 PM and you’re encouraged to bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, food, and drinks, so it doubles as the best picnic setup in central Indiana. Parking is free and the vibe is pure golden-hour magic on the prairie. If Friday works better, the ISO plays “Decades: Back to the 80s” on July 17 at the same time and place. All ages. Fri Jul 17: Decades — Back to the 80s @ 8 PM; Sat Jul 18: Summer Breeze — Yacht Rock Classics @ 8 PM.

The Move: You’re allowed to bring your own food to the prairie — so stop at Hotboys North Indy, 4335 W 106th St in Carmel, and build the ultimate picnic spread before heading to Fishers.

🎷 Couch at HI-FI Annex

Friday, Jul 17 @ 7:00 PM

Boston’s buzziest pop-soul outfit Couch brings their cashmere-soft blend of pop, soul, and R&B to the HI-FI Annex in the heart of Fountain Square. Fresh off their Sunshower EP, a 40-city U.S. headline tour, festival slots at Boston Calling and Levitate, and a sold-out UK debut run, this seven-piece is exactly the kind of band you brag about seeing in a small room before they blow up. The Annex is HI-FI’s open-air stage, so you get brass-heavy grooves with a summer-night breeze — the show runs roughly 7:00–10:00 PM. Do317 and Bandsintown both list it — this is the indie pick of the weekend, and admission is free (RSVP via hifiindy.com). All ages.

The Move: HI-FI Annex is in Fountain Square, literally blocks from Hotboys Indianapolis at 1004 Virginia Avenue — this is the easiest dinner-and-a-show combo in the entire guide.

The Hotboys Connection

From Benson Boone flipping across the Gainbridge stage to the Fever packing the same building two nights running, southern rock echoing over Noblesville, yacht rock drifting across the prairie, and brass-heavy grooves in Fountain Square — the 317 covers every lane this weekend. We’ve got tenders on both ends of the metro to fuel every stop.

  • Indianapolis: 1004 Virginia Avenue — Fountain Square HQ for Gainbridge nights and the HI-FI Annex, just blocks away (11am – 9pm Sun – Thurs).
  • North Indy / Carmel: 4335 W 106th St, Suite 1300 — the move for Ruoff Music Center and Symphony on the Prairie up in Hamilton County (11am – 9pm Sun – Thurs).

Arena pop downtown, WNBA fireworks at the Fieldhouse, southern rock under the stars, and smooth sailing on the prairie — Naptown doesn’t take summer weekends off. Let’s ride, Circle City. 🔥
